The Haverhill Retirement Board welcomes you to their web site, specifically designed to provide its membership with information about their retirement plan and benefits.  Please visit us as often as you like.  We are all very excited about the opportunities this site will provide to its membership.

As administrator of the five member Board, it is my purpose to serve the mulit-employer defined benefit plan consisiting of the members/employees, retirees and beneficiaries of the City of Haverhill, the Haverhill Housing Authority and the Whittier Regional Vo-Tech School.  Additional responsibilities are to provide the Board with the necessary tools to manage the assets of the system, collect the necessary data to adopt actuarial assumptions necessary to properly fund the System, counsel members and administer disability and death benefits.  The Haverhill Retirement System was established on July 1, 1939 according to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 32 inclusive.

A retirement board governs each system and all boards, although operating independently, are bound together under one retirement law, Chapter 32 of the Massachusetts General Laws, which establishes benefits, contribution requirements, and an accounting and funds structure for all systems.  Each Board consists of five members and convenes on a monthly basis.

Feel free to estimate your retirement allowance and view membership information.  If you encounter any problems with your account please feel free to contact us.  For members, remember if you are calculating an estimate you can always override a field and continue with your calculation.
