Monthly Board Meetings

Cost of Living Increase (COLA)
At the regularly scheduled meeting held on, Tuesday, January 10, 2006, the Haverhill Retirement Board voted to grant a 3% COLA, effective July 1, 2006.  The 3% will be calculated on the first $12,000.00 of your retirement allowance. (a maximum of $360.00 per year.)

Accidental Disability Veteranīs Allowance:

Your June 2006 retirement check will include your new monthly increase under the Veteranīs Bill recently passed by the City of Haverhill City Council.  The retroactive monies owed will be included in your September 2006 retirement check.

Cost of buybacks effective 7/01/2005. 
Legislation approved the increase in interest to be one-half the actuarial assumed interest rate or approximately 4.25%.  All buybacks for creditable service will now be calculated at this rate.

Payments of Retirement Allowances
